Spontaneous

I am a very spontaneous person, in fact, I plan to be spontaneous at least once a month. Last week on Monday, I was at work when my wife sent me a message that there had been a big snowfall up north. You can imagine my family’s surprise when I said “get everyone packed up, we’re leaving in 1 hour to go play in the snow.”

My kids were still off school from winter break so when I arrived home they were still in shock just learning a few minutes earlier that we were going to drop everything to go up north.

Honestly, I can’t remember what work I had to move around or which appointments I had to reschedule, but I’ll never forget the fun we had that day.

There's a time and place for everything, but sometimes we have to be flexible in order to recognize the opportunities right in front of us.
