Sometimes making a single lifestyle change can lead to several other changes in life. In hindsight, we may realize that we should have made the change sooner.
Several months ago, after learning about the benefits of cold-exposure therapy, I started taking cold showers. Not long after that, I started running again for the first time in at least a decade.
Now, with the support of some good friends, I’m also swimming and cycling. While I am still new to this slow and steady approach to exercise, I have learned that you build a strong heart and strong lungs the same way that you would build a wall, or anything else that is intended to last: one brick at a time.
